For five centuries, relatively few had dared venture into the territory her people called home and none of them had ever left the land of 'Los Apetito de Hombre'. *  The victorious tribesmen had marked the perimeter off their lands with the bones and skulls of the defeated, as a warning to those who would trespass there.  Adriana had lived a good life here, safe from those who would hunt her and do her harm.  She had protected the tribe, and they had unwittingly provided her with an inpenetrable sanctuary.
